In order to match one of the themes of the 38th edition of Fribourg International Film Festival, Nouveau Monde has prepared a great concert evening for Friday 22nd March! Invited at FIFF 2021, actress and rapper Karine Guignard, aka La Gale, is back in Fribourg and back at the Festival. She comes with the duo Doom Spirit. The after party will by an Open Mic that promise to be quite legendary!

La Gale is a Swiss Lebanese rapper with a clear cut and vindictive universe. Inspired by a crossover between a mean rock from old school punk and sharp visceral rap, she delivers powerful texts in a unmistakable flow. In the urgency of a out-of-time world, she knows well how to put in light on life's torment and to ask necessary questions to our standardised society. She chose rap to communicate her statements because only rap could transcribe this rage!
Doom Spirit is a Lausanne based rap duo with a clear underground vibe. Their freshly published double LP "Six Feet Unda" is a tribute to hip-hop culture, from the first to the most recent generation. Working by the book and in a covert mode, Doom Spirit now comes in the light with a clear intention to share their flow and nervous texts.
The after party will offer an Open Mic session. Fribourg rappers Pablo and Antoino will host the show with DJ Viet Lee on the decks. No matter your skills, come pick up the mic and drop your lyrics during this thrilling night!
