Doueiri scored big with his debut film. No sooner released, it was selected at Cannes. As well as stunning cinematography, the tight storytelling keeps the audience gripped. Set in 1975, it revolves around a group of young friends trying to shoot a film in Beirut. Their plans are derailed by the outbreak of civil war. The irrevocable loss of innocence explodes on screen.
