In Mexico at some time in the future, victims of the country's worsening social inequality storm a high society wedding. It is the start of a revolution that spills out on to the streets and mobilises the army. This mesmerising dystopian drama, which won a Silver Lion (Grand Jury Prize) at Venice 2020, details an irreversible and desperately predictable rampage caused by the all-consuming cult of money.
