In 1936, Palestine rose up against the British Mandate. A mother and her son try to carry on as normal, but the arrival of colonial forces in their village brings a halt to this peaceful existence. Interspersed with archival footage, Palestine's official entry at the 2026 Oscars captures a seminal moment in the region's tumultuous history which remains little known and has rarely been depicted on screen.
