The beating heart of this road movie, which was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes in 2025, is Ester, a young mum with a tough life caring for her son who has Down's syndrome and autism. When she is ostracised by those around her during a holiday in Italy, Ester runs away with her child and meets an endearing backpacker along the way.
