The FIFF reveals the five films which will be screened at its upcoming 40th edition (20th–29th March 2026) in its Genre Cinema: Audience Choice section.
The FIFF audience has spoken: with 50 classics to choose from and close to 300 votes cast, five films prevailed and will be screened at the Festival's 40th edition. All reflect the depth and diversity of cinematic portrayals of motherhood.
It is with great pleasure that FIFF announces here the five films selected:
1. The Piano, by Jane Campion (New Zealand/Australia/France, 1993)
2. Volver, by Pedro Almodóvar (Spain/England, 2006)
3. Fargo, by Joel & Ethan Coen (USA, 1996)
4. Incendies, by Denis Villeneuve (Canada/France, 2010)
5. Psycho, by Alfred Hitchcock (USA, 1960)
They will be screened on the silver screen from 20th to 29th March 2026 at FIFF (add the event to your agenda)
