Planète Cinéma

Planète Cinéma

Already in the beginning of the Nineties the Fribourg International Film Festival strove to propose films from its selection to the younger public from high schools, colleges and higher education institutions in the area. Though modest at first, the project progressively grew and spread to include all the levels of compulsory education. For the 2009 edition no fewer than 9'012 students attended the 56 screenings organised especially for the younger public.

In order to best support the work of the teaching corps, tailor-made accompaniment is also offered, be it in the form of presenting the films before their projection; through meetings with the directors; through thematic discussions; or reading sub-titles for the elementary school public. Thanks to the Conférence Intercantonale de l'Instruction Publique (CIIP) and the Website e-media, this offer is completed by the preparation of pedagogical material for each film.

Furthermore, e-media offers a blog for all Planete Cinema participants.
