Gomarët e Kufirit

Films from countries where Switzerland is commited

The FIFF will thank the SDC (Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation), its loyal and committed partner who is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year, in a cinematic way. It has selected six films from priority countries of Swiss cooperation. A unique opportunity to see the first Kosovar movie in history (Gomarët and Kufirit), as well as a poignant dialogue on Cuban exile via the mythical Memorias del Subdesarrollo (Memories of Subdevelopment) and the response shot by Miguel Coyula, whose film Memorias del Desarrollo (Memories of Development) was part of the official selection at the Sundance Film Festival.

  • Memorias del Subdesarrollo, Tomás Gutiérrez Alea, Cuba, 1968, 97’
  • Paraíso, Héctor Gálvez, Peru, 2009, 93’
  • Third Person Singular Number, Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Bangladesh, 2009, 124’
