The Association of the FIFF

The Fribourg International Film Festival Association is the funding body of the Festival. Founded in 1987 with headquater in Fribourg, the non-profit organization aims to promote the understanding between the cultures and more particularly between the so-called North and South. It gives preference to films that stimulate reflection and provoke discussion. 

The Association is formed by Festival friends and active members (individuals or collective membership) and counts almost 300 persons. The membership fees contribute to the organization of the Festival. They are also connected to some interesting advantages:

How to subscribe

By paying an annual subscription fee of Fr. 60.- you become a Festival friend and are able to claim up to 20% off all festival tickets. Furthermore, you are invited to the general assemblies and the artistic direction presents to you the program personally on the occasion of an exclusive program reception.

By paying an annual fee of Fr. 120.- you become an active member and profit from the following benefits: prices reduced up to 20% off all Festival tickets, you get a catalogue or a poster and are entitled to vote in the general assemblies. The artistic direction presents to you the program personally on the occasion of an exclusive program reception. Moreover, active members are invited to the award ceremony and closing party of the Festival.

You may apply for membership online. The fees are to be paid within 20 days from the date of the invoice. We will be happy to send you a confirmation for your tax computation.
